Furthermore, Aqvila’s services include screening and pre-qualification of contractors, tender evaluation, contracting of a FIDIC “Plant and Design-Build” contract as well as construction management and supervision during the entire construction phase.
Description
The CHM V project comprises a total floor area of 19,700 m² consisting of three class 10,000 clean rooms of varying sizes totalling approx. 3,500 m², one controlled area of approx. 2,200 m², a general production area, a warehouse area and a utility and dispatch area. Additionally, the project includes the creation of an atrium courtyard located in the production area, a two storey administration building fronting the complex as well as a connection corridor and connection of utilities to the adjacent CHM IV facility.
Aqvila’s extensive knowledge of local building practices and construction costs allowed us to enter into an innovative incentive based partnering agreement between Aqvila as the full-service consultant and Coloplast as the building owner. This incentive based partnering ensures that Aqvila are held fully accountable for the overall construction costs of the finished project, with a penalty or bonus incurred for any differences between the final construction costs and the initial construction budget created at the conception of the project. This resulted in a strong focus throughout the design and construction of the project on creating value-for-money solutions while still respecting Coloplast’s strict requirements for quality, function and aesthetics.
