Coloplast CMPT I has successfully entered the construction stage exactly 9 months after the landplot was selected in Felgueiras, Portugal.
Allan Rasmussen, EVP of Global Operations attended on the groundbreaking ceremony last week and emphasized the importance of the project as a testament for Coloplast’s commitment to improving the lives of people with urinary retention.
The investment is also marked as a very important milestone for the city of Felgueiras.
As a Full-Service Client Consultant for the CMPT I project, we are responsible for all design services in connection with technical site due diligence, master planning, Conceptual Design documents, 3D visualization, coordination of permit design, and preparation of Tender Design documents. Furthermore, our services include screening and pre-qualification of design-build contractors, tendering, contracting of a FIDIC “Plant and Design-Build” contract, as well as construction management, cost control, claim management and technical supervision during the entire construction phase.
Our team also has a strong involvement in project and contract management for heavy earthworks and development of a new 60/15 kV substation to supply the future facility.
We are very excited to continue our hard work, contribution and cooperation with all project team members during the construction stage in the role of The Engineer (acc. FIDIC terms) to make this project a real success story, pushing boundaries and start production operation at the end of 2025.
