Description
CMPT I is Coloplast’s first manufacturing facility in Portugal, located in Felgueiras. The project comprises a large-scale production facility with a total gross floor area of approx. 57,600 m². The site has also been prepared to allow for a future expansion of a second production phase of similar size.
Preconstruction works commenced in September 2023, followed by transition to the design-build phase in June 2024. The project is currently progressing towards production testing planned for Q1 2026.
The facility includes approx. 11,500 m² of clean room production areas, designed with large ballroom-style layouts, with the largest individual clean room spanning approx. 1,900 m². The building layout allows for a future expansion of the clean room production area by an additional approx. 7,000 m². Clean rooms are designed to meet ISO 7 classification in the at-rest state, while maintaining ISO 8 conditions during operation.
In addition to the production areas, the project includes a two-storey administration building, ambient and cooled warehouses, integrated utility systems and dispatch zones. The site development also includes landscaping with about 280 newly planted trees.
The utility infrastructure has been designed with flexibility for future production adjustments and internal expansions, including plug-and-play connections for future installations.
