Description
Shortly after the handover of Coloplast’s second facility in Costa Rica (CMCR II) in 2022, a project comprising remodulation and utility extension of the clean rooms was initiated, in order to accommodate new requirements to the production machines and utilization of the clean rooms.
This remodulation project comprised architectural and finishing works inside the approx. 3,100 m² clean rooms (ISO 7 in occupancy state ‘as-built/at-rest’), installation of additional air handling and dehumidifier units, as well as extension and modifications to the existing utility supply lines on the 3,100 m² technical floor above the clean rooms. Moreover, the project also comprised appurtenant reinforcement of the structural floor and a new cooling yard (approx. 3.5 MW total cooling capacity), including installations of air-cooled compact chillers and new utility supply lines through the existing facility.
